Richard D. Levin, M.D., F.A.C.S.
As a urologist, Dr. Levin is highly trained to treat disorders of the male and female urinary tract (bladder, ureter, kidney, and urethra) and the male reproductive system. Urology is classified as a surgical subspecialty, but because a variety of clinical problems are encountered when treating urological conditions, knowledge of internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and other specialties is required.
Dr. Richard Levin is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has numerous publications to his name, and keeps abreast of the newest innovations. He is a frequent lecturer at the Aventura Cancer conference. He is also an expert in Microsurgery/Infertility and GreenLight PVP laser for BPH. He is also a certified trainer/instructor for the Green Light Laser Photo Vaporization of the Prostate procedure.
Personal Notes
Dr. Levin grew up in New York, trained in Washington DC, and moved to Florida to be closer to his family. He currently lives in the greater Miami area with his wife, Angela, and their baby boy, David. They enjoy windsurfing and bicycle-riding whenever possible. They are involved with their local synagogue and are both amateur gourmets as well.
"I find that my naturalistic lifestyle definitely permeates my practice philosophy."
